21 International Yachts Highlight Sail Tomini 2015

Jakarta (Antara News) —- Twenty one participating yachts in the “Back to Down Under” International Yacht Rally sailing from the Philippines to Australia, are scheduled to highlight the international sailing event of Sail Tomini 2015 at Parigi Moutong Regency in Central Sulawesi Province on 19th September 2015.

“They have now entered Indonesian waters through the island city of Tarakan in North Kalimantan Province and arecurrently sailing towards Central Sulawesi” said Raymond Lesmana, one of the tour operators in the Back to Down Under Rally as reported by antaranews.com. According to Raymond, the first port of call in Central Sulawesi for participants of therally will beTolitoli where they are expected to arrivei on 26th August 2015.

He explained that the yachts sailed in to Indonesia from Tawau, then continued to Tarakan and Berau in North Kalimantan, before reaching Central Sulawesi.

In the Central Sulawesi seas, several ports will be called by the yachts starting from Tolitoli, sailing on to Kwandang, Manado, and Bitung (North Sulawesi Province), before entering Tomini Bay at Gorontalo Port and Boalemo (Gorontalo Province), to finally reach the Togean Islands in the Tojo Unauna Regency, in the Central Sulawesi Province that has some of the most fascinating underwater scenes in the country.

“The yachts are expected to arrive on 19th September 2015 at Kayubara Beach, Parigi Moutong Regency, the location where the pinnacle in the series of events in Sail Tomini 2015 will be held. The yachts will then leave Tomini Bay through Ampana, Pagimana, and Banggai Laut before sailing on to Raja Ampat in the West Papua Province” commented Raymond.
