PT. INKA WON A MILLION DOLLAR TENDER IN BANGLADESH

PT. Industri Kereta Api (INKA) Indonesia recently won a tender from the Bangladeshi Ministry of Railways. The tender is on the procurement of 100 units of MG (Meter Gauge) Passenger Carriages and 50 units of BG (Broad Gauge) Passenger Carriages. PT. INKA Managed to defeat the other competitors, such as Nanjing from China and Rites from India.

The tender process, which involved a heavy competition, commenced in late 2013 and concluded with the bidding today, Tuesday, 5 August 2014. Puguh Dwi Tjahjono, Marketing Assistant Manager of PT. INKA, was present in that bidding.

The million dollar project which was won by PT. INKA is a project funded by the Bangladeshi government and Asia Development Bank (ADB).

PT. INKA’s victory in that tender is a remarkable achievement for Indonesia, and this proves the capability and advantage of PT. INKA in the world market.

Previously, in 2004, PT. INKA also won a similar tender held by the Bangladesh Ministry of Railways.
