PT INKA RI Signed a Contract for the Procurement of 200 Train Carriages with Bangladesh Railway

On September 14, 2017, PT INKA (Persero) again signed a contract for the procurement of 200 MG (Meter Gauge) train carriages with Bangladesh Railway which formely PT INKA has signed a contract for the procurement of 50 BG (Broad Gauge) train carriages . The contract was signed by its President Director, R. Agus H. Purnomo while Bangladesh Railway is represented by Additional Director General of Bangladesh Railway, Md. Shamsuzzaman. The signing of the contract was witnessed by the Minister of Railways of Bangladesh, Md. Mazibul Hoque, MP and the Ambassador of the Republc of Indonesia to the People Republic of Bangladesh, H.E. Rina P. Soemarno.

Minister of Railways of Bangladesh appreciated the achievement and performance of PT INKA in procuring the international high standard quality of train carriages in Bangladesh. For Bangladesh Railway, PT INKA is a trusted partner in providing assistance and supervision of rail transport services in Bangladesh.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh welcomed the signing of the contract which reflects the closeness of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Bangladesh as friendly fellow developing countries. Indonesia as a trusted partner of Bangladesh offers long-term cooperation with Bangladesh not limited to railways but also in other strategic sectors.

This contract is the third time for PT INKA, which previously won international tenders in Bangladesh, starting in 2006, 2015 and 2017 with a total of more than 200 coaches and wagon products exported to Bangladesh.

The success of PT INKA in Bangladesh can not be separated is the consistence of the government support throught (National Interest Account) NIA program and Indonesia Eximbank which strengthen the plan to conduct market expansion in overseas, especially developing countries in South East Asia, South Asia, Cetral Asia, Middle East and Africa.
