RI Foreign Minister Closes 85th Interpol General Assembly

In her remarks at the closing of the 85th Interpol General Assembly in Denpasar, Bali (10/11), RI Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that the world is still far from stable and peaceful.

“We all face the rising number of transnational criminal organisations. Terrorism, transnational organized crime such as people and drug smuggling and trading are major threats to us all.”

“Fading state borders means that no country can face these common enemies alone. To overcome this undoubtedly requires stronger international cooperation and partnership.”

“Facing ever more complex global challenges, the role of Interpol in maintaining global order and peace is increasingly important.”

“Indonesia is ready to cooperate with various state partners in combating common challenges in all forms and manifestations.”
