Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC) 2018 Calls for Participants

Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC)  is a student conference on democracy that will be held simultaneously with the Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) in Bali, Indonesia. The participants are expected to have an intensive discussion on democracy from student’s perspectives through various discussion panels. The Second BDSC (BDSC II) is to be held in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia on 6-7 December 2018.

The participants of BDSC are 150 students. Any interested student is encouraged to participate in the conference. The requirement to participate are:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students having interest in political issues, especially democracy
  • Between the age of 21 – 28 years old
  • Good command of English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Active social media presence

Candidates for participation are expected to send their application along with the following documents:

  1. Filled-in application form
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Recommendation Letter from the University
  4. Copy of Passport identity page
  5. Copy of Students ID Card
  6. Photo (4×6 cm, colour)
  7. Statement Letter stating willingness to participate in the whole program of BDSC in Bali from 5 to 8 December 2018
  8. Short essay in English about views on Democracy for Prosperity: Youth’s Perspectives (650 words, font: Arial 11, 1.5pt space)
  9. 30-second profile video in English, uploaded to social media account, which consist of:
    • Introduction of name and University
    • Views on “Democracy for Prosperity”

All documents must be submitted to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Dhaka via email: by Monday, 22 October 2018
