Update on Mount Agung Activities 27 Nov 2017

Activity Level: AWAS (Level IV) 

The eruption level of has raised from phreatic to magmatic phase (since the rays of fire are increasingly observed in at night, on 25 November 2017 at 21.00 local time). The magmatic eruption phase has spread ashes up to 2,000-4,000 m into the atmosphere.

 

Visual Observation : 

The top of the mountain can be clearly seen with 2,500-3,000 m high of grey mid pressure eruption column.  

A 3,000 m high grey eruption column.

Rays of fire.

 

Earthquake:

Eruption: 1 time (amplitude: 21 mm, duration: 40 seconds).

Deep Volcanic: 1 time (amplitude: 18 mm, duration: 31 seconds).

Local tectonics: 1 time (amplitude: 18 mm, duration: 60 seconds).

 

Other information:

Non harmonic tremor: continuously (amplitude: 1-10 mm)

 

Recommendation

Dangerous area, no activity:

The Summit area and within a radius of 8 km from the summit

In the North-Northeast and Southeast-Southwest sectoral as far as 10 km from the summit.
